What we do

About us

Beautify Kuils River began in early 2021, started by a small group of women who shared a vision of a town we can all be proud of. What began as a simple effort to improve our surroundings has grown into a community-driven project focused on bringing life and beauty back to public spaces. The first project restored the gardens along Amandel Road using plants donated by local residents. With growing community support, the initiative expanded to include municipal spaces and parts of the main roads, including Amandel and Annandale Roads, as well as Van Riebeeck and Langverwacht Roads. Along the way, many residents have also begun caring for their own pavement gardens, helping create a greener, more welcoming neighbourhood. Beautify Kuils River was registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) in October 2022 and is funded through public donations. These contributions mainly support gardening contractors who assist with planting and maintenance.

Our vision

To create a greener, cleaner, more beautiful Kuils River—one that residents feel proud of and where shared spaces are cared for and enjoyed by all. We hope to inspire a strong sense of community pride and involvement.
